Circularity inspired by artistry.

What is circularity?

Circular design focuses on restoration and regeneration, renewable resources, and reducing landfill waste. By practicing circular design, we can dramatically change the interior and furnishings industry’s impact on climate change… for the better. In a circular model, materials and products can renew their lifecycle, they are reused, recycled, upcycled, and transformed into new products and materials.

What is Studio Laurence’s environmental impact?

We strive to reduce our environmental impact as much as possible. Through circular design practices, Studio Laurence creates sustainable home products with Cradle to Cradle Certification. Cradle-to-cradle is a way of designing products or processes that are an ongoing circular system, much like how nature works. It focuses on product life extension, long-life goods, reconditioning activities, and waste prevention.

Is Studio Laurence zero waste?

Yes, we are. Zero waste is the process of systematically working to eliminate the generation of waste by people or processes. This movement focuses on minimizing excess while prioritizing the recovery of waste through circular processes like composting, recycling, and upcycling.

"Sustainable design usually means eco-friendly practices in the furnishings industry, referencing the approach of designing, producing and consuming products that respect the planet by causing little to no damage, and therefore sustaining the environment. I can see how Studio Laurence's vessel collection is focused on this mission. Not only are the products beautiful but they also are functional. Love it."
