Our Founder

Laurence Carr has launched her own line of sustainable, luxury home goods.

Laurence Carr is an outspoken advocate of the circular economy in the built environment and furnishings industry. She is the founder and CEO of her NYC-based award-winning interior design firm, Laurence Carr Inc, and also the creator, executive producer, and host of “Chez Laurence,” an EarthxTV original series. Laurence has been designing products in collaboration with furnishing and lifestyle brands and now has launched her own line, Studio Laurence.

As an expert on regenerative approaches to designing interiors and products, Laurence's work is featured in major publications and media. She is a Maison & Objet Ambassador, and a multi-year ambassador for the Sustainable Furnishings Council. Laurence regularly participates as a consultant and resident expert, speaking and moderating panel discussions for international trade organizations to promote the adoption of circular economy practices within the industry.

Through circular design practices, Studio Laurence creates sustainable home products with Cradle to Cradle Certification. Luxury goods that pioneer a return to heritage and craftsmanship with concern for waste and the impact on our planet. The home furnishing and textile industries are two of the most damaging industries to the environment, wasting massive amounts of water and dumping crude oil, which was found to have seeped into the ground, causing mass devastation in areas across the globe. By working with only sustainable materials, we are not only having a positive impact on the planet, but on the health and wellness of your home, as well.
